World Famous Lord Saneeshwara Temple at Thirunallar
Saneeshwara Temple is an ancient temple located at Thirunallar, Karaikal dedicated to Lord Dharbaranyeswara. Tourists frequently visit the temple especially during Shani Amavasyas and Shani Peyarchi festival. The temple is popular among devotees, as it is believed Lord Brahma worshiped here to obtain salvation. The temple has a holy tank with miraculous power.
AayiramKaliamman Temple at T.R.Pattinam
AayiramKaliamman is an ancient temple at T.R.Pattinam. The goddess is entirely made of wooden and every part of her body is kept piecemeal in a wooden box. The wooden box was found in a sea coast of Thirumalairajanpattinam a devotee had a Gods vision of picking it up and worshiping it. Festival is conducted once in 5 years with lacks of people gathering.
Karaikal port is located in Keezhavanjore village in Karaikal district of Pondicherry which was developed by Chennai based MARG Limited. It is seen as a multi cargo-handling terminal. It handles cargo such as coal, pet coke, sugar, fertilizers, cement, construction material etc.; it is also an oil exploration activity hub.

Karaikal Ammaiyar constructed in 1929 is a holy place dedicated to Karaikal Ammaiyar. The temple is known for huge idol of lady saint, Tourists and devotees frequently visit the temple especially at Mangani festival. Pujas and ceremonies are conducted on full moon day. Curd rice and mangoes are offered to the God.
The Church of Our Lady Of Angel
Our Lady of Angel Church constructed by French rulers in 1739 was reconstructed in 1863. The Church has a marble alter, stained glass window, 133 feet tall tower, three huge clocks and five large bells. ThetheravaMadha festival on 15 Aug is celebrated in the Church. For Catholics in town it is one of the main places of worship.
Mastan Syed DawoodDargah, Karaikal
Mastan Syed DawoodDargah is a famous tomb containing the relics of Syed Dawood a Muslim saint. Kandoori festival is celebrated by the descendents of the prophet to pay homage to him. During the festival, the Dargahis decorated with flowers and other material where music and dance are performed and fireworks are burnt.
